The must-see castles
The Châteaux of the Loire are renowned throughout the world. Among the most famous, you will find the Château de Chambord, with its double spiral staircase, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci.
You will also visit the Château de Chenonceau, built on the Loire and erected by Catherine de Medici, or the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, built during the reign of François I, on an island in the middle of the Indre.
The Royal Château de Blois is located 1 hour from your hotel. Seventeen kings and queens of France have carved their destinies here and made it a unique place.
The magnificent gardens
Some châteaux boast remarkable gardens, which you won't want to miss. A lovely stroll awaits you at the Château de Villandry, about twenty kilometers from the Hôtel du Théâtre. Its seven gardens take you through the ages and discover numerous plant species.
Head to the Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire to admire the beautiful English-style park. All year round, plants and flowers of all kinds flourish, offering you truly charming displays.
The Valley of 300 Castles
